Our top tips for happy grazing:
- Style your platter with your hero items first – your bread, crackers, cheeses and dips. Surround these with your smaller items to fill up any gaps, then finish it off with any little garnishes!
- Make sure all of your food is in bite size portions; for example, cut cheese into slices or cubes.
- Little dishes are a platters best friend.
- Contrast and colour is everything! Think bright, flavoured hommus (we love beet or spinach) crunchy vegetables, and rich, dried fruits like apricots or cranberries.
- Mix and match your flavours and textures; think sweet and salty or mild and strong – balance is key!
- Add some decorative garnishes and toppings to elevate your dips such as paprika, pomegranate, roasted pine nuts or fresh herbs – the list is endless!
Our Il Uno Artisan Vegetable Pizza Bases are all dairy and egg-free, so they’re the perfect base to start with to build a platter that can satisfy any diet. Fill your platter with lots of healthy, indulgent good fats and be as creative as you like!
What you need:
- Il Uno Artisan Vegetable Pizza Bases (we’ve used all 4 flavours here – Beetroot, Basil, Bumpkin & Carrot, and Cauliflower)
- 4 tablespoons of olive oil
For the platter:
- 2 cups of beetroot hommus
- 2 cups of plain hommus
- 1 cup of sundried tomatoes
- 1 cup of olives
- 1 cup of artichokes
- A handful of roasted pine nuts and a dash of chili flakes and coriander to top your hommus
What you do:
Bake a variety of your chosen vegetable bases, we’ve used all four here. Drizzle your choice of infused olive oil or sprinkle some regular or vegan parmesan over the bases, slice into 16ths and arrange on the platter with a variety of dips and appetizers - the brighter the better!
Simple bruschetta, but we think this one’s a little bit fancier. Perfect for sharing or having all to yourself (we don’t judge).
